On Saturday, May 13, children and parents gathered in the park for the citywide it’s My Park Day. Kids got their hands dirty with gardener Billy Fahey, planting impatiens along the entrance walk. Billy also talked the group of about 20 about the plants, how they grow and what they need to thrive. And near the Gazebo, students from Stuyvesant High School's Creativity for Kids club helped children weave strips of fabric between the trees, creating a colorful banner that fluttered in the wind.

FUNDS FOR A BATHROOM in our park HAVE BEEN APPROVED and the design process may be underway soon.

PLAYGROUND: The Third Snail and Toddler Train are still in the works.

GARDEN: fall cleanup will take place on ITS MY PARK DAY, please email garden@washingtonmarketpark.org if you have yet to return your garden contract, please do so or your plot may be turned over to the waiting list. LINK TO GARDEN MAP.

TENNIS: signup sheets are posted on the park office door and are available at 8am daily.

KIDZONE: Progress continues to be slow but steady.
